Terms of use
FiveStair is an independent planning tool. These terms explain what it is, and what it isn't.
Updated Oct 21, 2026
Estimates, not offers
The fit check, prices and grant information are estimates and general information based on the data you enter and the sources we cite. They are not quotes, offers, medical, legal or tax advice. An installer's survey and written quote are binding only between you and the installer.
Quote requests
When you request quotes, we pass your request to the companies you confirm. Any contract is between you and the company. We are not responsible for the companies' advice, prices, products or work, but we want to hear about problems: hello@fivestair.com.
Accuracy
We cite sources and dates and correct mistakes when we find them. Specifications and rules change; check the maker's current documents and the official grant page before deciding.
Use of the site
Use FiveStair for planning your own or a relative's home. Don't misuse the forms or try to disrupt the service.
Changes
We may update these terms; the date below shows the latest version.
