About FiveStair
FiveStair is an independent planner for stairlifts, home lifts and platform lifts. We built it because families deserve clear answers before a salesperson sits in the living room.

What we do
We turn a staircase into a 3D model, check which lifts fit using published maker limits and standards, and show prices and grants for your country with their sources. If you want quotes, we pass your plan only to the companies you choose.
How we research
- Prices: only ranges a named source states: consumer surveys, price guides and makers' price pages. Each table shows the source and the date we checked it. When we have no sourced price for a country, we say so.
- Grants: from official government and fund pages, with links. Rules change, so every grant shows where to confirm it.
- Model specs: from each maker's own documents. A spec without a source is not shown.
- Fit check: limits from makers' spec sheets and standards (ISO 9386-2, EN 81-40), plus clearly marked estimates where no maker publishes a single figure.
Who writes the guides
The guides are written and checked by the FiveStair editorial team against the sources linked on each page. We correct mistakes quickly; write to hello@fivestair.com.
Independence
We are not owned by, and do not represent, any stairlift maker or installer. Read how we earn money.
